Does anyone take depakote for aniexty

I tried Depakote, put me to sleep and gave me a voracious appetite. Also made me irritable and I was depressed all the time. I hated it.
Now I take Lamictal (lamotrigene) and it is the perfect drug for me. Controls the seizures and does not affect my appetite or my moods, that I have noticed. Could be that I do not notice from another drug (mood stabilizer) that I take.
A hundred years ago, I am sure I would have died before my age now.

I am taking Depakote as a Mood Stabilizer. (I am bipolar) It does seem to help and I've had no bad side effects.

Depakote is used mainly to treat mood disorders, particularly bipolar disorder as it works to stabilize one is mood. My cousin was on it for a while, it caused her to gain quite a bit of weight, sleep all the time, and she then developed a tremor. There are other medications available that have a lot less side-effects and are highly effective (perhaps even more so) than Depakote.

I take Depakote as a mood stabilizer. I've experienced no side effects.
