It depends on why you're taking the drug to begin with. For most indications, the level of valproate in the blood must remain within a fairly level & narrow range for it to be effective, so skipping a dose is not a great idea. Second, several of the reasons u might be taking it do not mix well with drinking. And finally, the reason you're taking Depakote instead of Depakene is that the drug is hard on the stomach, & so is booze, so even if u get past the other reasons not to drink, there is that to consider.

Alcohol reduces the effectivity of many medications, including psychotropics. You may have a reoccurance of symptoms. Skip the alchol, not the dose.

i do not think thats just a good idea..just by the fact that the words drinking and dose are used.

Depends why you are taking it. Is it for Mental health or for seizers. Usualy perscribed for MH if thats the case to be honest if you skip a dose might not be that bad if it happens once, however frequently can lower your levels and that will have consequences

you will get sick throw up skip it
