I've only been taking this drug for a few nights, as my previous medication had some serious negative side effects. Though l think Depakote is better all around, I've noticed my legs have a constant tingly feeling; it is almost as if l wanna just move around more than normal. Is this a common side effect of Depakote?
The exact reason u r taking Depakote is important for a proper answer. Based on ur information I will assume u r not taking it for epilepsy. Depakote can cause restlessness in many patients. I was mis-diagnosed as bi-polar & prescribed the drug for a month some years ago. I experienced the exact same problem. Having less mental health experience than I do would have lead me to believe I was suffering from Restless Leg Syndrome. I would talk to ur doctor about the problem. As long as it is providing the help u need & the urge to move around is not disruptive I would continue taking it. Unfortunately, all pharmaceuticals operate in this manner. It is simply of question of whether the benefits outweigh problems.
